At 28, I’ve seen some things,

Life’s not always what it seems.

The path I thought was straight and clear,

Has twisted, turned, and brought me here.

I’ve learnt that time won’t wait for me,

It flows like a river to the sea.

Moments pass, some slip away,

I’ve learnt to cherish every day.

Love’s a dance, a fragile song,

It can lift you up, but also go wrong.

I’ve felt its warmth, its tender grace,

And also the sting when it leaves no trace.

Friendship’s gold, I’ve come to know,

True friends are there when the world says no.

We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve grown apart,

Yet they remain etched in my heart.

Pain has knocked on my door,

Teaching lessons I can’t ignore.

It’s shaped me, scarred me, made me strong,

A constant teacher, right or wrong.

Joy, I’ve found, in simple things,

In laughter, in a bird that sings.

It’s not in wealth or grand success,
