Do You Remember?
Do you remember the days when we couldn’t stop talking, our conversations flowing like a river, endless and full of life? I miss the ease of it, how nothing felt forced, how everything just was.
Do you remember the way we used to laugh together, over nothing and everything, like the world belonged to us? I thought we’d never run out of reasons to smile.
Do you remember the way you held my hand, steady and strong, making me believe in safety, in forever? I wish I still felt that warmth.
Do you remember the promises we made under the stars, so sure that the universe was on our side? I thought those words would hold us together forever, but now they’re just whispers lost in the wind.
Do you remember the places we said we’d visit, the adventures we dreamed of chasing together? Now, it feels like those plans belonged to someone else entirely.
Do you remember the way your eyes used to light up when you saw me, like I was your favourite part of the day? I miss that glow; it’s gone now, and I wonder if I imagined it.
Do you remember the songs we used to sing, the ones that felt like they were written just for us? Now I can’t listen to them without feeling the weight of what we lost.
