Don’t Get Too Used To Being Alone

Don’t get too used to the silence,
to the sound of your own footsteps in empty rooms.
I know you’ve learned to carry everything on your own,
to stand strong without anyone beside you.
But you deserve more than just the strength to go alone —
you deserve someone who cares and wants to stay.

Don’t get too used to only your own laughter,
to filling your days with just your thoughts.
I know it’s easier not to expect anything,
to rely on yourself so no one can let you down.
But I’d be here with you if you let me,
to remind you that sharing the weight feels lighter.

Don’t get too used to dinners for one,
to feeling like you have to face everything solo.
I see how you guard yourself, and I get it —
but let someone in, even a little, for you.
You deserve happiness, real and shared,
and to know what it’s like to be fully loved.

When you’re tired of going it all alone,
when your own strength feels a little too heavy,
know I’m here, ready to be beside you.
You deserve joy that doesn’t come with walls,
and to have someone who truly stays.

So much truth in the idea that while independence is powerful, we all deserve the warmth and support of others. Simply wonderful! 🌻
