Don’t Let Them Steal Your Peace Of Mind

Could it be that peace is something no one can take unless you give it away?

“Why did they say that about me — was it something I did?”

Could it be that their words reveal more about them than they do about you? You wonder if you’re good enough, if you’ll ever be understood, yet you question whether anyone can fully understand what they don’t try to see. Is it true that people only understand from their level of perception, so why should you let that disturb your peace?

“Am I really that flawed, or is it just a projection of their own insecurities?”

When others’ judgments weigh heavy on you, have you asked yourself who set these standards in the first place? If they can dismiss your worth so easily, isn’t that a reflection of their limited view rather than a sign of your inadequacy?

“Why do I constantly feel like I have to prove myself to others?”

At what point did you decide that validation must come from others when true peace could only come from within?

“Why do I allow others to steal my happiness when I know I don’t need anyone’s approval to feel worthy?”

Could it be that peace is your own to nurture, protected from others’ fleeting opinions?
