Falling Out Of Love
Falling out of love, little by little,
Like autumn leaves drifting, brittle,
Once ablaze with fiery passion’s flame,
Now mere embers, whispering your name.
Each passing day, a gentle erosion,
Of tender feelings, once in full motion.
The spark that ignited, now flickers low,
In shadows where affection used to grow.
I trace the contours of your face,
But find myself lost in a distant place.
Where once I saw galaxies in your eyes,
Now only echoes of fading goodbyes.
The laughter we shared, a distant echo,
In the chambers of my heart’s tableau.
We danced in the moonlight, hand in hand,
Now I find solace in shifting sand.
I mourn the loss of what once was,
Yet cherish memories, without pause.
For love’s journey, though it may end,
Leaves traces of beauty, around the bend.
Though we drift apart, in the ebb of time,
Your essence lingers, in every rhyme.
Falling out of love, little by little,
Yet grateful for the moments, bittersweet and brittle.
