I want to be chosen by you, every day

I want to be the one you reach for,
Not just when it’s easy, but when it’s hard,
When mornings are quiet and nights are long,
When doubts creep in, and you need somewhere you belong.

I want to be your steady, your calm in the storm,
The place you return to, soft and warm.
To be chosen when skies are bright and blue,
And on days when darkness colours your view.

Each day, I hope you’ll choose me still,
Not out of habit, but with a willing heart and will.
In a world that’s vast and full of change,
Let me be the choice you wouldn’t exchange.

Choose me in moments we’ll make our own,
In laughter, in silence, even when alone.
I want to be the one you call your home,
For every day, I choose you — through heart and bone.
