I used to believe that love could conquer anything.
That if two people cared about each other enough, they would always find a way.
That love, in all its magic, would be enough to bridge any gap, erase any doubt, and align two hearts heading in different directions.
But I was wrong.
Love is beautiful. Love is powerful.
But love alone isn’t always enough.
We met at the perfect time — or at least, that’s what I thought.
We spent years building something beautiful, learning each other’s quirks, finishing each other’s sentences, and growing together.
Until, one day, we stopped growing in the same direction.
I wanted a home — a place to settle down, to build a life, to wake up to the same familiar warmth every morning. I wanted marriage, stability, and the kind of love that lasts decades, not just seasons.
You, on the other hand, wanted the world.
You wanted adventure, the thrill of the unknown, the freedom to explore all the possibilities life had to offer.
You weren’t ready to be tied down, not because you didn’t love me, but because you weren’t done figuring out who you were outside of us.
