With You, I Feel Complete

A poem

With you, I feel complete,
like the puzzle piece I never knew was missing
has finally clicked into place.
You make the chaos quiet,
the storms in my mind calm,
and for once, I can breathe easy.

Before you, there was emptiness,
a hollow ache I tried to fill with anything,
everything.
But nothing felt right —
until you.

You taught me what it means to be seen,
to be loved for all that I am
and all that I am not.
You held my broken pieces
like they were treasures,
and somehow, in your hands,
they became whole.

But there’s this ache I can’t shake.
What if it doesn’t last?
What if this completeness
is fleeting, fragile?
What if the world takes you away,
and I’m left holding memories
that feel like ghosts in my chest?
